Towards a Better World Charities

The organisation operates as the Namibian Branch of the Australian registered charity TOWARDS A BETTER WORLD LTD which places a strong focus on community consultation, empowerment and long term sustainability, and has been operating in Namibia since 2019.

Through our "Development Through Agriculture" project, we aim to improve food security, promote sustainable agricultural practices, create job opportunities, and reduce waste in the Erongo Region of Namibia.  We are currently establishing a working farm and agricultural training centre on a 17-hectare plot approximately 25 km west of Swakopmund to encourage more local food production, create jobs and generate income to fund further expansion.

The focus of this project is to:

• offer hands-on practical farming experience for aspiring farmers focussing on how toproduce vegetables in a sustainable and financially viable manner
• promote and develop recycling of organic waste into organic compost and fertilisers
• develop a robust, sustainable funding model that ensures the project's long-termviability.
• empower the local community to assume management roles, fostering self-reliance and growth.
