Snout Project Namibia

Snout Project Namibia or NamSnouts, is an adoption initiative aiming to save lives by finding loving and caring forever homes for existing shelter and rescue animals.  Our "Name Your Adoption Fee" is a unique concept whereby there is no set adoption fee. We provide a guideline, but how much the adopters donate towards the adoption of their new furry family member is their decision.  The only condition is that the adopter can meet the NamSnout's financial needs for the rest of its life. The doption fee covers a vet check, deworming, the first two vaccinations and the sterilisation.  We are very strict on that and follow up on these.      

A „for free pet“ is an expensive pet if you need to pay the vaccinations and sterilisation costs privately. As a result these „for free pets“ are seldom sterilised and keep on producing litter after litter of more „free pets“ – this is a huge problem and the number of homeless animals keeps increasing.  Sterilisation is the only way we can ever hope to make a little impact on the number of homeless animals.  With our monthly Spay Days we hope to slow the reproduction system down and create a healthier world for everyone - humans and animals!
