Y-FEM - Stakeholder Invitation to 'Adolescent Girls and Young Women Setting the Agenda to End Early Child Marriage' Campaign Launch - 27 August 2021

The Young Feminists Movement (Y-Fem) Namibia Trust is launching a campaign called Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW) Setting the Agenda to End Child Marriage in Namibia. Join the Y-Fem Namibia Trust for the campaign launch on Friday, 27 August 2021 from 11:00 to 15:00. The event can be attended in person at the Ministry of Gender Community Hall (next to NamPost) in Opuwo or virtually via Zoom.

The goal of the event is to introduce the Y-Fem Namibia Trust and to strengthen the capacity of AGYW leaders to access justice, build solidarity and influence policies to end forced child marriage in Namibia.

Y-Fem Namibia Trust is a feminists human rights organisation that is dedicated to advancing women’s rights by promoting women’s access to health, education & justice. Their aim is to build an inclusive & intersectional feminist movement of young women in Namibia that know and can claim their full human rights as persons. They raise consciousness among young women of all forms of discrimination and oppression that has an impact on their lives and choice.
