IPPR - Call for Civil Society Input on National Budget Priorities - 12 September 2024
Following the consultative meeting that took place with the Ministry of Finance and the National Planning Commission on July 15 with regards to the budget, the Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR) would like to invite further interventions or recommendations.
The IPPR will consolidate these inputs into a briefing paper which will be handed to the Minister of Finance, Hon. Iipumbu Shiimi, before the 2024/2025 Mid-Year Review due in October.
As part of the Mid-Year Review, the Minister is expected to provide an update on the progress of the 2024/25 budget. He is also expected to propose re-allocations in budgeted expenditure in view of changing priorities and the latest economic outlook.
The inputs will also be an opportunity for civil society to raise issues that they think should be prioritised in the 2025/26 national budget,
