Call for Fellowship Applications: The Green Screen

Early-career journalists and researchers in Namibia are invited to apply for The Green Screen Fellowship. We are now receiving applications for a three-month Fellowship from early-career journalists and researchers who want to work at the intersection of environment, energy, and extractives.The Eco Dialogue Collective Project brings together research, law, and journalism to strengthen transparency and accountability in Namibia’s green economy and extractive industries.

Fellows gain hands-on experience in investigative work, data-driven storytelling, and collaborative content development, while working alongside researchers, legal practitioners, and civil society actors advancing Namibia’s sustainable future.

 

Thematic Focus Areas:

  • Green Hydrogen & Renewable Energy
  • Oil & Gas Sector
  • Cross-cutting issues: Climate change, governance, community impacts, and just transition

Eligibility is open to journalists and researchers focusing on: green hydrogen & renewable energy, the oil & gas sector, and cross-cutting themes such as climate change, governance, community impacts, and the just transition.

Funded by the European Union and implemented by DW Akademie, NMT Media Foundation, the Institute for Public Policy Research, and the Legal Assistance Centre, the project creates a space where evidence, policy, and public interest meet.
