Political Scenarios to 2030: Understanding Namibia's possible political futures
How might Namibia's political landscape evolve between now and 2030—and what could this mean for democracy, governance and public participation?
The Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR) invites civil society organisations, policymakers, researchers, journalists and interested members of the public to a presentation by its Executive Director, Graham Hopwood, on possible political scenarios for Namibia to 2030.
Graham Hopwood has led the IPPR since 2008 and is a respected analyst of Namibian politics, democracy and governance. A former political journalist at The Namibian, he is the author of the Guide to Namibian Politics and has written extensively on Namibia's political history, elections, governance and anti-corruption efforts. Read more about Graham Hopwood. Established in 2001, the IPPR is an independent, not-for-profit policy research institute. Its work promotes informed public debate through critical but constructive research into the social, political and economic issues affecting Namibia's development. Learn more about the IPPR.
This is a valuable opportunity to look beyond immediate political developments and consider the forces that may shape Namibia's future.
