On 18 January 2022, in an NBC Good Morning Namibia interview, the Namibia Institute for Democracy's (NID) Programme Director, Mr Panduleni Nghipandulwa, commented on the World Bank report that cited Namibia as one of the most unequal countries in the world. According to the World Bank report, 1.6 million Namibians live in poverty.
