Namibia Votes 2020

Government Gazettes containing the Lists of Candidates' names contesting the Regional Council elections and the Local Authority elections taking place on 25 November 2020.

Regional Council Candidates 2020

Namibia is divided into 14 political regions, which are made up of 121 Constituencies. One Councillor for each of the 121 Constituencies will be elected on 25 November.

In Regional Council elections registered voters vote for individual candidates, not for political Parties, although Candidates are usually nominated by their respective political Party.

However, Candidates may also be Independent Candidates, supported by the community in the Constituency for which they stand as Candidate.

Candidates for Local Authority elections 2020

In this case the names of candidates do not appear on the ballot paper, only the names of the Political Party, Organisation or Association which nominated the Candidates.

It is therefore important for voters to find out, who the Candidates are, in order to make an informed choice.

This Gazette lists all the names and other details.
