The Minister of Finance, Hon. Iipumbu Shiimi has asked to meet with civil society on Friday, 10 September 2021, at 14h30 to discuss ideas for the mid-year budget review due in October. The Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR) and the Civil Society Information Centre (CIVIC +264) would hereby like to invite you to attend this online consultation with the Minister of Finance.
Usually, the Mid-Year Budget Review is tabled in parliament in October each year. The Minister is expected to provide an update on the progress of the 2021/22 budget. He is also likely to propose re-allocations in budgeted expenditure in view of changing priorities and the latest economic outlook.
