CALL FOR PROPOSALS: "Building resilience of communities living in landscapes threatened under climate change through an ecosystems-based adaptation approach in Namibia" (SAP006-EbA Project) Small Grants Facility

The Environmental Investment Fund of Namibia (EIF) currently has an open Call for Proposals;  approved for funding by the Green Climate Fund entitled “Building resilience of communities living in landscapes threatened under climate change through an ecosystem-based adaptation approach’’ (SAP006-EbA Project). The EIF is the accredited entity for the project. Deadline for applications: 13 May 2022 at 17h00.

There are two funding windows, namely

  1. (Ecosystems) Restoration and Climate Proofing
    To build community capacities in climate change resilience and improve adaptation planning intervention areas: Strengthen ecosystem-based adaptation and planning to enhance resilience of biodiversity and ecosystem functions. Apart from planning, this window will support concrete ecosystem management and conservation measures such as restoration of degraded rangelands, community gardening, tree plantations, restoration of riparian areas.
  2. Eco-Enterprise Adaptation Investments
    This window focuses on financially supporting community-level locally owned small to medium enterprises that are based on natural resources. It also involves supporting communities to access local, regional, and international business platforms.

Eligibility 

Please be informed that the following eligibility criteria are applicable in accessing the funding under the SAP006-EbA Project and that the Small Grants Facility is limited to the entities below:

No individuals or other entities apart from those specified above may apply for such funding.
