Namibia Red Cross Society (NRCS)
The Namibia Red Cross Society is a national humanitarian organization, established by an Act of Parliament, Act 16 of 1991 following Namibia’s independence, as a National Society auxiliary to public authorities. Following its recognition by the International Committee of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Society’s (ICRC) in 1993, it was admitted as a member of the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) the same year.
This symbolized the beginning of efforts towards the improvement of the lives of the vulnerable people in Namibia through humanitarian networks locally and internationally.
