CIVIC +264 Engages CSOs & Local Political Office Bearers in the Hardap Region
HARDAP REGION INFORMATION SESSIONS | On 20 & 21 June 2022 the Civil Society Information Centre Namibia (CIVIC +264) hosted information sharing and networking sessions in Rehoboth and Mariental respectively. The sessions provided an opportunity for CIVIC +264 to introduce itself, its website and its FREE services to Non-Profit Organisations (NPOs) which are active in and around Rehoboth and Mariental.
Information Session in Rehoboth on 20 June 2022
The information session in Rehoboth, 20 June, provided an opportunity for local NPOs - Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), Faith-Based Organisations (FBOs) and Community-Based Organisations (CBOs) - to interact amongst themselves and with their local political office bearers. In attendance, included Rehoboth Mayor Enrico Junias and a representative from the office of the Rehoboth Urban West Constituency.
Information Session in Mariental on 21 June 2022
At both sessions, participants were able to engage on a variety of issues affecting their communities and they were informed on multiple issues of relevance to civil society. This includes the Government of the Republic of Namibia Civic Organisations Partnership Policy (GRN-COPP), the Enhancing Participatory Democracy in Namibia Programme/Project (EPDN) and the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM).
The mission of CIVIC +264 is to promote the sharing of information about CSOs in Namibia and their work and to this end, we have established a website which is also useful to other stakeholders, e.g. Government entities, Local Authorities, and Development Partners.
When you subscribe to the blog, we will send you an e-mail when there are new updates on the site so you wouldn't miss them.
