The Comrades Association (CA) is a youth-led voluntary association that is mandated by a constitution to educate fellow youth with civic knowledge and skills, the respect for the rule of law as well as agricultural know-how. CA was established in 2021.
CA has done some research in Namibia and has found that a large number of youth have limited understanding of civic education and democratic governance. Based on this we as CA will be taking the revolutionary step as a youth organisation to educate fellow youth with civic knowledge, civic skills, and the respect for the rule of law for both state and local governments.
Mindset shift is at the heart of CA. The 'Vision, Commitment and Action' workshops help communities envision a future of their own making. We believe that every person has the right to be the author of their own development. We aim to promote and inculcate an entrepreneurial mindset in youth, women and the underprivileged communities. Through social consciousness programmes, business symposiums and soft skills training workshops. We fundraise for business start-ups and guide the newly formed enterprises to success thus creating financially viable SMEs throughout Namibia.
